Flash Flood Warning issued July 30 at 9:48PM EDT until July 31 at 2:45AM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA
At 948 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain has exited the warned area, leaving only light rainfall. However, between 2.5 and nearly 4 inches of rain fell earlier this evening, much of it within about an hour. Creeks and streams will continue to experience flooding over the next few hours. In particular, Adair Run was reported to have experienced flash flooding earlier this evening.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
