At 803 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Durham. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary, and producing heavy rain.
HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph, heavy rainfall.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Durham, Chapel Hill, Gorman, Parkwood, Bethesda, Research Triangle, Eno River State Park, Falls Lake, and Jordan Lake.
