A portion of west central Virginia, including the following county and independent cities, City of Roanoke, City of Salem and Roanoke.

Until 830 PM EDT.

Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 523 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Mason Creek, Roanoke River, Paint Bank Branch and Gish Branch.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
