Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

A portion of west central Virginia, including the following independent cities, City of Roanoke and City of Salem.

* WHEN...
Until 1230 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Standing water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 956 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms has exited the area. However, as much as 1 inch of rain fell across the advisory area between 900 and 930.
Runoff from this rain may have resulted in ponding of water in area roadways, posing a hazard to motorists.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Mason Creek, Gish Branch, Roanoke River and Carvin Creek.
