At 202 PM EDT, thunderstorms continue to produce heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen with an additional 0.5 to 1.5 inches of rain possible in the warned area.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Morgantown, Westover, Star City, Granville, Brookhaven, Cassville, Reedsville, Masontown, Cheat Lake, Osage, Booth, Georgetown, Core and Laurel Run.
Flooding is being reported along Route 7 from Sabraton to Masontown with public reports indicating water is entering some homes.
