At 1224 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms centered around Denton and Gordontown, or about 10 miles east of High Rock Lake. These storms were nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Lexington, Denton, Newsom, Gordontown, High Rock Boat Dock Marina, Nc Wildlife Access Boat Launch, High Rock Lake Marina & Campground, High Rock, and High Rock Lake.
