Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
A portion of west central Virginia, including the following counties, Bath and Rockbridge.

* WHEN...
Until 600 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 259 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Cowpasture River, Cabin Creek, Mare Run, Little Wilson Creek, Gochenour Branch, Alum Creek, Maury River, Claylick Run and Calfpasture River.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
