Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE... Appomattox County in central Virginia... * WHEN... Until 1030 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 832 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Abbott Branch, Cemetery Creek, Bowler Creek, Appomattox River, Bear Creek, Bear Branch, Blackfoot Creek, David Creek, Bent Creek and Caldwells Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
