A slow moving frontal system will track across the area late tonight through Thursday. Periods of heavy rainfall may increase flooding potential over locations recovering from last week's flooding event.

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

A portion of northwest Virginia, including the following area, Northern Virginia Blue Ridge.

* WHEN...
From late tonight through Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Increased potential for flooding given saturated soils from last week's major flooding event. The heaviest rains likely fall during Wednesday afternoon and evening. Total amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible.
