* WHAT...
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...
A portion of McDowell County, North Carolina.

* WHEN...
Until 1100 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 920 PM EDT, Emergency management reported flooding earlier this evening along Youngs Fork Creek on the south side of Marion due to torrential rainfall. Other nearby small streams likely are running high as well. Heavy rainfall is moving back into the area and will slow the rate at which creeks recede. Minor flooding is ongoing and in some areas may begin shortly. Between 2.5 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will worsen minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Marion, Glenwood and Dysartsville.
