Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
A portion of Buncombe County, NC.

* WHEN...
Until 145 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1040 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Arden, Mills River, Fletcher, Biltmore Forest, Biltmore Park, Skyland, Asheville Airport, Avery Creek, and a portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway in southern Buncombe County.
