Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
A portion of western North Carolina, including the following county, Buncombe.

* WHEN...
Until 1000 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 656 PM EDT, A nearly stationary cluster of thunderstorms has resulted in 2 to 3 inches of rainfall across the area.
Minor flooding is expected in low-lying and poor drainage areas for creeks along the French Broad River. This includes Dix Creek, Lee Creek, Newfound Creek and Reems Creek.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Downtown Asheville, West Asheville, North Asheville, Woodfin, Weaverville, UNC-Asheville and Leicester.
