At 1005 PM EDT, doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen in the last hour or so, with up to 6 inches total thus far today in some locations.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding.
